Hope Clinic has a team of staff members dedicated to helping patients address a variety of concerns, including emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. The Department of Counseling & Education is run by a social worker and sexuality educator with specialized training in reproductive health. All counseling and education services provided by Hope Clinic are LGBTQIA+ affirming and sex positive.
Individualized contraceptive counseling services are offered alongside abortion visits and contraceptive visits as desired. You can schedule a contraceptive counseling visit which is a 30-minute appointment where you review contraceptive options and work with an experienced contraceptive counselor to figure out what birth control options might be best for you, based on your health history and your preferences. Pregnancy Options Counseling
Review information about all your pregnancy options including adoption, abortion, and parenting. Discuss concerns about your options and work through some exercises to assist you in making your own decision about your pregnancy. For more pregnancy options resources, please visit our Pregnancy Options Resources webpage.
Abortion Information-Only Visit
There is a lot of misinformation about abortion everywhere and it can be difficult to figure out what is accurate. This service allows you time to reflect on your decision and gain information about abortion procedures and medication abortion so you can make an informed decision about whether or not abortion is right for you.
While most people who have abortions report feelings of relief, that does not mean that other feelings do not come up sometimes. In a society that makes people feel guilt and shame for choosing abortion, it can be hard to find a non-judgmental person to talk to about your feelings. Whether you are seeking additional support or want time to process and work through your experience with and feelings associated with abortion/pregnancy, this type of counseling might just be for you. This is a short-term counseling service and is available to people who have had abortions.
Patient Support Services

We will work with you to connect you with community resources to fit your needs. This service is available to current and former patients of Hope Clinic.
